JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Roda Vivatex Tbk (RDTX), manufactures textile, cloth and yarn, decides to temporarily halt its production activity, if the condition forced, for minimizing its loss.
The company has also by gradual cut its employees by up to above 50% and has cut production activiy by 15%. RDTX had closed for temporary its weaving segment.
The company opted this option, including production cut, as response over bearish domestic market, the depreciation of the rupiah, electricity tariff hike since May 2014, and business uncertainty.
RDTX booked net profit of Rp198.2 billion in 2013, jumped 60% from Rp124.8 billion in 2012, contributed by property business segment.
