JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA) had in June 23, 2014, accelerated debt payment of US$62.5 million, equivalent Rp740 billion.
The debt, for voluntary prepayment, consisted of debts to export credit agency (ECA) and commercial lenders.
Lloyds Bank Plc acted as agent and security trustee, along with BNP Paribas and Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.
Earlier in April 22, 2014, GIAA had paid debt of US$370 million to Citi Club, also a voluntary prepayment.
GIAA allocates capital expenditure (capex) of US$150-200 million for this year, partly used to purchase 27 new aircrafts.
