JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.49% at 4909 Tuesday (June 17) but trade was volatile.

While most Asian stock markets fell on Tuesday as the deepening conflict in Iraq and a gas dispute between Ukraine and Russia sapped investors’ appetite for riskier assets.

Adaro Energy jumped 4.9%, Bank Negara Indonesia gained 1.55%, Aneka Tambang rose 1.32%, Vale Indonesia hiked 2.19%, Kalbe Farma lifted 2.81%, Perusahaan Gas Negara climbed 2.83%, and Timah up 1.47%.

Among losers were Adhi Karya (-1.53%), Bumi Resources (-2.1%), and Matahari Putra Prima (-1.34%).

Nymex’s crude oil retreated 0.65% to US$106.21 per barrel and gold declined 0.8% to US$1,265.10 per ounce. The rupiah weakened again to Rp11,863 against the US dollar.
