JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 0.16% to 4893 this morning while Asian shares soft on anxiety over Iraq, Ukraine.
Reuters reported Asian shares struck a cautious tone on Tuesday as the double-whammy of a deepening conflict in Iraq and a gas dispute between Ukraine and Russia sapped investors’ appetite for risk.
Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.5% to US$98.86 per barrel in Asian trading while gold declined 0.3% to US$1,271.40 per ounce.
In Jakarta bourse, Adaro Energy gained 2.86%, Vale Indonesia rose 1.78%, and Perusahaan Gas Negara increased 1.42%.
