JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Two lawmakers from Democratic Party and Golkar Party have on Friday (June 13) been questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to further investigation into high-profile graft case of Hambalang sports center project.

According to KPK’s Spokesperson Priharsa Nugraha, that two lawmakers questioned today are Mahyudin, Democratic Party’s politician, and Rully Chairul Azwar, a Golkar’s politican. Priharsa said both Mahyudin and Rully have been questioned as witnesses for Machfud Suroso, Director of PT Dutasari Citralaras and one of suspects in the case.

Both Mahyudin and Rully are currently members of the House of Representatives (DPR) Commission X (overseeing sports affairs).

As reported earlier, based on the KPK’s minutes of investigation, Mahyudin had been mentioned for receiving Rp500 million fee from Hambalang project. But Mahyudin denied.

The Working Committee of the House Commission X which led by, among others, Mahyudin and Rully, had agreed the Rp150 billion additional budget to the Hambalang project from the 2010 revised State Budget (APBN-P).
