JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and his running mate Jusuf Kalla reach 53.6 percent electability rating in a new survey results from Cyrus Network.

This report might boost optimism of supporters of Jokowi-Kalla that the pair could win the July 9 presidential election.

Jokowi-Kalla’s opponent, Prabowo Subianto and his running mate Hatta Rajasa, meanwhile, got 41.1 percent.

The Cyrus Network poll also found that 30 percent of voters confessed that they would look into the performances from the two pairs in the presidential debates to determine and or to strengthen their choices.

The Executive Director of Cyrus Network, Hasan Nasbi, said the survey was conducted on May 25-31, 2014 by involving 1,500 respondents.

According to the Presidential Election Law No. 42/2008 Article 159, the winner of the election is the pair who could get more than 50 percent of votes with at least get 20 percent of votes in each province in more than half of the number of provinces across the country. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
