JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – A new survey shows that the pair of Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Jusuf Kalla still leads over the pair of Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa with substantial margin ahead of July 9 presidential election.

According to new survey released on Wednesday (Jun 4) by the Populi Center, the electability of Jokowi-Kalla has reached 47.5 percent while Prabowo-Hatta got 36.9 percent of electability.

The pollster, however, also found that around 14.4 percent of voters have not yet decided their choices while the remaining 1.2 percent of voters decided to abstaint (locally known as golput).

Previously, two other pollsters also found similar results. The Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) reported Jokowi-Kalla’s electability at 35.42 percent while Prabowo-Hatta’s electability 22.75 percent.

The Indonesian Political Indicator, meanwhile, reported Jokowi-Kalla’s electability at 51 percent, far above Prabowo-Hatta 32.4 percent. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
