JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened down 0.09% at 4959 this morning while most markets in Asian region were in green zone.
Jakarta bourse was closed yesterday (May 27) and will close again tomorrow (May 29) for national holidays.
Asian stocks inched higher on Wednesday and the dollar held near an eight-week peak against a basket of currencies, spurred by upbeat U.S. economic data.
Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.25% to US$96.11 per barrel in Asian trading and gold inched down 0.07% to US$1,264.60 per ounce.
In Jakarta bourse, Aneka Tambang lost 1.6%, Bumi Serpong Damai also fell 1.6%, Timah declined 1.37%, and Bank Rakyat Indonesia 0.9%.
