JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 0.18% to 4963 Monday (May 26), reversing its gain in early morning trade. While most markets in the region closed in green zone.
Bank Rakyat Indonesia fell 1.39%, Aneka Tambang declined 1.6%, Bumi Serpong Damai lost 1.27%, Jababeka shed 1.59%, London Sumatra dropped 1.74%, and Timah slashed 1.37%.
Other losers were Bank Tabungan Negara (-1.82%), Adhi Karya (-1.38%), Waskita Karya (-1.37%), Multipolar (-1.95%), and Matahari Putra Prima (-4.22%).
Among gainers were BW Plantation (+1.53%), Telkom (+1.18%), and Visi Media (+1.1%.
The market will close tomorrow (May 27) and Thursday (May 29) for national holidays.
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.43% to US$99.16 per barrel while gold declined 0.2% to US$1,291.90 per ounce. The rupiah weakened to Rp11,633 against the US dollar.
