JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped 2% this morning to 4913 at 11 am Jakarta time, the biggest drop in months.
Investors might be disappointed with Jokowi’s choice of vice president candidate and Prabowo-Hatta-Bakrie’s partnership.
Almost all blue chip stocks were losing grounds. Telkom dropped 5.43%, Bank Mandiri fell 5.88%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia declined 4.56%, and Bank Negara Indonesia lost 3.33%.
Other losers were Jababeka (-3.85%), Bumi Resources (-3.77%), and Media Nusantara Citra (-4%).
