JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Tbk (BBRI) mulls to acquire state-owned PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (BPUI) after Bank Negara Indonesia decided to withdraw the acquisition plan over BPUI.
BRI is now keen to acquire insurance company, securities firm, and bank. It allocates Rp3 trillion fund for acquisition this year.
BPUI is holding company of securities firm PT Bahana Securities. Currently BPUI’s debt totals Rp1.2 trillion.
