JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Oil and gas KTB-18 well in Jambi field, operated by PT Pertamina EP, got a wild bursts on Tuesday (July 16) at the time of the process for the removal of the drill to enter the casing.
Agus Amperianto, Manager Communication of Pertamina EP, said the drilling has reached 351 meters depth measurement
(MKU) and when stripped of the remaining 10 series drill to stand, there’s drag followed by a kick.
“It also makes the process of installation of the CAP to the circulation could not be implemented, since the rig position leaning inclined,” he said.
There was no loss of life and material due to the incident, no danger of gas. However, the company was forced to
suspend production from the well.
