JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.42% at 4840 Wednesday (April 30) inline with most markets in the region.
Asian stocks rose on the last trading day of April as investors concentrated on central bank policy decisions in Japan and the U.S., cnbc.com reported.
In Jakarta bourse, Adaro Energy jumped 5.33%, Bumi Resources climbed 5.15%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia rose 1.28%, Kalbe Farma hiked 1.3%, and Multipolar surged 6.35%.
Among losers were Aneka Tambang (-2.08%), Timah (-2.9%), and Vale Indonesia (-1.66%). The Jakarta bourse will close tomorrow for May Day national holiday.
Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.98% to US$100.29 per barrel and gold fell 0.62% to US$1,291 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp11,532 against the US dollar.
