JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) is on his way to end his 10 years of presidency.

He has delivered a farewell words to representatives from the provinces, regencies, and municipalities across the country attending the National Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) held at Bidakara Hotel in Pancoran, South Jakarta, Wednesday (April 30).

Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, Jakarta Governor and presidential nominee from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), also attended the meeting.

SBY, who is also Chairman of Democratic Party, demands everyone presenting in the meeting and the people to support whoever the new president winning the presidential race this year.

As scheduled, the country will hold a presidential election on July 9, 2014. So far, it is only Jokowi who has secured enough support to run in the race after PDI-P and Nasdem Party agreed to endorse altogether his nomination.

Another contender who will likely run in the race is Lt. Gen. (ret) Prabowo Subianto, patron chief and presidential nominee from the Great Indonesian Movement Party (Gerindra). (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
