JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened flat this morning at 4895 while most regional markets were in red zone.

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.27% to US$101.71 per barrel in Asian trading. Gold rose 0.1% to US$1,286 per ounce.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia gained 2% after reporting 16.6% profit growth in first quarter of this year. Timah rose 1.6% and Bumi Resources Minerals increased 1.86%.

While Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Tbk (BBTN) dropped 7.28% as national media outlets report the government has skip the acquisition plan over the bank by other state bank, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI).
