JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) gained 0.12% to 4898 at the opening trade this morning following regional markets.
Asian shares crept higher on Wednesday following merger-driven gains in Europe and on Wall Street, though investors were wary in case coming figures on Chinese manufacturing again disappointed, Reuters reported.
Nymex’s crude oil inched up 0.06% to US$101.81 per barrel in Asian trading and gold rose 0.23% to US$1,284.10 per ounce.
In Jakarta bourse, investors focus buying plantation and mining stocks. Among plantation stocks, BW Plantation gained 1.12% and London Sumatra increased 2.1%.
For mining, Vale Indonesia rose 2.2% and Timah hiked 3.3%. Matahari Putra Prima also gained 1.1%.
