JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped 2.88% to 4774 on opening trade this morning, a day after the general election for voting the legislative members.
Investors, who are expecting more effective and efficient legislative and cabinet, respond negatively the outcome of the election. None of political parties came out as dominant player in the next legislative and government.
Almost blue chips lost ground. Astra International drops 6.85%, Alam Sutera lost 4.03%, Bank Central Asia shed 3.88%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia fell 4.42%, Bank Mandiri dropped 5.37%, Bumi Serpong Damai declined 3.94%, Jababeka lost 5.48%, Lippo Karawaci dropped 6.67%, and Telkom fell 3.43%.
