JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), in his capacity as Chairman of Democratic Party, still fails to boost his party’s electability as recent survey by Charta Politika puts the Democratic Party’s electability at below 10%.

Charta Politika however reported Democratic Party’s electability as March 2014 increased slightly to 8% from 7.4% at December 2013.

Charta Politika places Democratic Party in the fourth position behind Gerindra Party (12%), Golkar Party (16.4%), and PDI-P (21.2%).

Democratic Party is also named as the most disliked political party among 12 eligible political parties participating in 2014 elections.

SBY had took over the party’s leadership from Anas Urbaningrum since February 2013 as the party was dragged into crisis (graft allegations) and its electability crashed down to below 10%.

In 2009, Democratic Party won legislative election with 20.85% votes. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
