JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State bank PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Tbk (BBRI) will pay dividend of Rp6.35 trillion for 2013 fiscal year, or Rp257.33 per share.

The dividend payment represents 30% of last year’s profit (Rp21.16 trillion). The rest Rp10.37 trillion is allocated as the retained profit and Rp4.4 trillion for supporting investment.

BRI targets to maintain its capital adequacy ratio (CAR) at 17%. By end 2013, its CAR stood at 6.99%).

BRI plans to acquire a life insurance company and a brokerage firm in third and fourth quarter of this year. BRI also considers to buy Bank Mutiara. BRI has allocated Rp3 trillion for boosting non organic growth.
