MAKASSAR (Yosefardi) – Bosowa Corporation has today (March 10) launched the operation of Cahaya Bone airline serving Makassar-Bone-Toraja route, Tribunnews.com reported.
PT Ersa Eastern Aviation, subsidiary of Bosowa Corporation, officially operates 2 units of PAC 750 Cahaya Bone aircrafts, named as Celebes Air, including its joy flight.
The aircrafts were produced in New Zealand with capacity of 13 seats. Bosowa invests Rp40 billion on Celebes Air, to compete with rivals such as Sky Aviaton and Susi Air.
Celebes Air currently operates 9 aircrafts in total, serving flights to Papua, Makassar, and Jakarta.
Meanwhile, new airline Rajawali Air targets to operate within next three months, to serve flights in the eastern part of Indonesia, mainly East Nusa Tenggara and Papua, using BAe Avro RJ85 aircraft with 99 seats capacity.
Robert EppeDando, HR & GA Manager at Rajawali AIR, told Yosefardi.biz, that Rajawali has proposed to get license, including operation specification, from the Transportation Ministry.
He added PT Rajawali Palapa Aviasi, owner of Rajawali Air, will also serve international flight using Airbus A320 with 174 seats.
