JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – All 12 political parties, eligible to participate on legislative members and presidential elections this year had submited campaign funds to the General Election Commission (KPU).
As reported earlier, the KPU has set the deadline at March 2, 2014 for the submission of campaign funds reports as well as the specific bank accounts belonging to 12 eligible political parties.
Prabowo Subianto’s Gerindra Party reported the highest campaign fund among political parties. The detail is stated below;
1. Gerindra: Rp306 billion
2. Demokrat: Rp268 billion
3. Hanura: Rp241 billion
4. PDI-P: Rp220 billion
5. Golkar: Rp174 billion
6. PAN: Rp170 billion
7. Nasdem: Rp139.5 billion
8. PPP: Rp95 billion
9. PKS: Rp82 billion
10. PBB: Rp47.9 billion
11. PKB: Rp15.5 billion
12. PKPI: Rp19 billion
KPU Commissioner Ida Budhiati said the verification over campaign fund reports will take at least 3 days.
The Indonesian Corruption Watch (ICW), meanwhile, is doubtful all political parties have reported campaign funds. ICW also urges KPU to ask help of the Anti-Money Laundering Agency (PPATK) on conducting the verification. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
