JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Investors continued buying shares of BW Plantation this morning, lifted further the stock by 1.5% to Rp1,355 per share, with over 20.5 million shares exchanged hands.
BWPT is among the most traded plantation stocks listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with average trading volume of 20 million shares per day in the past three months. It is also among the best performing stocks since August 2013, gaining 151%.
Other than continuous rally in the crude palm oil (CPO) prices in the past five months, some investors continue to anticipate rumors about the company as acquisition target.
Other plantations stocks, London Sumatra also rose 1.76% to Rp2025 per share with over 34.8 million shares exchanged hands and Salim Ivomas gained 1.32% to Rp770 with trading volume of 13.27 million shares.
