JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA) booked net profit of US$11.2 million in 2013, dropped 89% from US$110.84 million in 2012.
Revenue increased 7% to US$3.72 billion from previous US$3.47 billion. Scheduled airline services contributed revenue of US$3.17 billion (2012: US$2.89 billion).
While operating cost rose 12.6% to US$3.71 billion. Cost of flight operations grew by 17.6% to US$2.24 billion. The airline also suffered loss on foreign exchange (forex) of US$47.93 million.
Then operating profit was US$56.45 million, compared to US$168.07 million in 2012. GIAA’s assets totaled US$2.95 billion while liability amounted US$1.83 billion. It has cash and cash equivalent of US$475.26 million.
