JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened higher 0.77% at 4501 this morning following regional markets sentiment.

Asian markets made guarded gains on Monday, encouraged that Wall Street was able to weather a seemingly disappointing U.S. jobs report, though there is more than enough event risk ahead to keep investors cautious, Reuters reported.

Nymex’s crude oil rose 2.04% to US$97.84 per barrel in Asian trading this morning. Gold increased 0.34% to US$1,262.90 per ounce.

In Jakarta bourse, Coal miners Adaro Energy gained 1.1% and Bumi Resources rose 1.29%. Among property stocks, Alam Sutera hiked 2.7%, Bumi Serpong Damai lifted 1.3%, and Lippo Karawaci up 1.6%. Other gainers were Astra International rose (+1.15%), Bank Negara Indonesia (+1.06%), Bank Mandiri (+1.4%), and London Sumatra (+1.74%).
