JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed higher 0.75% at 4384 Wednesday (Feb 5), led by construction stocks.
Investors focus buying construction stocks. Waskita Karya jumped 5.4%, Wijaya Karya surged 3.32%, and Adhi Karya gained 4.75%.
Among blue chip stocks, Adaro Energy rose 1.12%, Bumi Resources climbed 1.99%, Astra International hiked 2%, Bumi Serpong Damai lifted 1.06%, Perusahaan Gas Negara gained 1.58%, and Telkom up 1.82%.
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.57% to US$97.74 per barrel and gold rose 0.38% to US$1,256 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp12,172 against the US Dollar.
