JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) denied all allegations saying its surveys are only made for the benefit of Golkar Party or any particular political parties.
LSI is understood to have been ordered for building surveys just for manufacturing consent and creating positive perception on certain political parties ahead of April’s Legislative and July’s Presidential Elections.
Adjie Alfaraby, a researcher from LSI, as quoted by Kompas.com on Tuesday (Feb. 4), however revealed that the surveys are independently financed by LSI, but he admitted LSI has served as a consultant for some political parties, including Golkar, President SBY’s Democratic Party, and PKB.
Adjie stated firmly that there is a clear demarcation line between Consultant and Research Divisions within LSI. Back in October 2013, LSI had been also accused for being bought off in releasing a survey result benefiting Golkar and its party chairman Aburizal Bakrie aka Ical. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
