JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Investment company PT Global Mediacom Tbk (BMTR), controlled by Hary Tanoesoedibjo, US$133 million, equivalent Rp1.6 trillion, for its fiber optic project this year.
The first phase project will focus in Jakarta and surrounding areas. Within next three years, the company allocates US$400 million for this project.
MNC Group earlier said BMTR allocates US$2-3 billion for investing in internet protocol television (IPTV) business.
This investment, targeting to develop 10 million units of fiber optic home pass, will take 10 years. The home pass
will cover some big cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Semarang, Lampung, and Medan.
BMTR targets its revenue to grow by 20% to Rp12.31 trillion this year, compared to Rp10.26 trillion targeted for 2013.
