JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Jero Wacik, minister of energy and mineral resources, said seven mining contractors and 15 holders of coal contracts of work [PKP2B] have agreed on six points of negotiation.
The minister said his ministry has undertaken negotiation with 37 mining contractors and 74 PKP2B.
That six points agreed through the negotiation are the smelter program, mining area, the conversion of mining contract into mining business permit (IUP), the increase of royalty, divestment, and the usage of mining goods and service in the country.
The area of mineral mining and coal mining is allowed for maximum 15 hectares and could be bigger for miners with long-term investment plan and commitment.
