JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Criticism is flowing into President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) following his decision to flight to Nusa Dua, Bali to attend the event of the Democratic Party, while the civil is hoping SBY to focus on handling the flood disasters in many parts of the country.

Saleh Husin, lawmaker from Hanura Party, said SBY as president has no sensitivity over the flood issues and also has not urged his cabinet members to immediately help the victims of the flood.

Flood disaster hits several parts of the country causing significant damages and the death toll. Flooding in Jakarta has killed 7 residents, while 30,784 other residents have been evacuated.

While flash floods and landslides in North Sulawesi has raised the death toll to 18 residents and 80,331 other residents have been displaced.

Eruption of Mount Sinabung in Tanah Karo, North Sumatra, has also killed 16 residents and displaced 26,000 residents. SBY has just scheduled to visit the victims of eruption of Mount Sinabung this week. (haryantos@yosfardi.biz)
