JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 0.66% to 4412 Thursday (Jan 16) due to profit taking as the index had substantially gained this week.
Regional markets closed in mixed. Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.31% to US$93.88 per barrel and gold down 0.18% to US$1,236.10 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp12,117 against the US Dollar.
In Jakarta bourse, Bank Rakyat Indonesia lost 4.42%, Bumi Serpong Damai fell 3.69%, Kalbe Farma dropped 2.1%, Perusahaan Gas Negara shed 2.52%, and Bumi Resources lost 4.9%.
Other losers were Bank Negara Indonesia (-1.6%), Bank Mandiri (-1.99%), Media Nusantara Citra (-2.78%), Visi Media (-2.44%), and Bumi Resources Minerals (-5.86%).
Among gainers were Aneka Tambang (+3.03%), Adaro Energy (+2.63%), Alam Sutera (+3.83%), London Sumatra (+1.32%), Telkom (+1.13%), and Multipolar (+3.58%).
