JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Democratic Party noted that current surveys by some pollsters showing further decline of its approval rating ahead of April’s legislative election and July’s presidential election as the vehicles of black campaign against the party.

Benny K. Harman, a politician from Democratic Party, told Detik.com on Wednesday (Jan. 15) that the Democratic Party has its own trusted pollster. According to Benny, other pollsters are part of many groups that want to bring down Democratic Party and its party chairman, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Benny however is optimistic that Democratic Party could harvest significant votes in 2014 election mainly helped by many achievements including the corruption eradication and pro-poor programs initiated by the President SBY’s administration.

The Democratic Party’s approval rating continues to decline into less than 10 percent as showed by various surveys. Latest survey from Kompas, the largest newspaper in the country, depicted that Democratic Party’s approval rating continues to crash to 7.2 percent from 10.1 percent (in June 2013) and 11.1 percent (in December 2012).
