JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJT) said its unit PT Austindo Aufwind New Energy had officially commenced the operation of biogas power plant in Belitung.
The powerplant has capacity of 1.2 megawatts (MW). Currently the company, through its unit PT Sahabat Mewah dan Makmur, has palm oil plantation field with planted area of 14,229 hectares and crude palm oil (CPO) mill with production capacity of 60 tons per hour.
All electricity powers produced by ANJT are sold to state utility company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), based on the power purchase agreement with price of Rp975 per kWh.
The company spent US$3.5 million for the biogas powerplant construction in Belitung. It will also plans to build biogas powerplant in other CPO field in Sumatra, Kalimantan and Papua.
