JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will force Anas Urbaningrum, former chairman of Democratic Party, to testify in the Hambalang case, where he is a suspect.

KPK chairman Abraham Samad said if Anas skips the third summon, the agency will force Anas to show up in the examination.

Anas skipped an examination scheduled today. He is accused of receiving Rp2.21 billion from state-owned construction company PT Adhi Karya (ADHI) Tbk, the company that won the graft-ridden Hambalang sports complex project in West Java.

Anas’ lawyer said the politician will show up only if KPK explains in detail what the meaning of ‘other cases’ phrase in the summon letter.
