JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.37% at 4218 Friday (Dec 27), but closed off its high.

Most Asian share markets notched up gains on Friday after another powerful performance by Wall Street, Reuters reported.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia gained 2.14%, Kalbe Farma rose 1.64%, Adhi Karya increased 2.03%, Hanson International jumped 3.77%, and Bank Bukopin lifted 1.69%.

Among losers were Adaro Energy (-3.57%), Bank Mandiri (-1.92%), Bumi Resources (-1.64%), BW Plantation (-2.26%), and Perusahaan Gas Negara (-1.68%).

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.12% to US$99.67 per barrel while gold inched down 0.04% to US$1,212.60 per ounce. The rupiah weakened to Rp12,260 against the US Dollar.
