JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The government of Indonesia allocates Rp300 billion for funding the refinery project in 2014 with capacity of 300,000 barrel per day.
The feasibility study for refinery project is targeted to conclude this year and the basic engineering design (BED) will take one year for completion.
The government then will work on its front end engineering design (FEED) in 2015, to take one year for completion. The construction of refinery will start in end 2016 or early 2017.
The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) is expected to take 4 years, then the refinery would be on stream in 2021.
The government of Indonesia plans to build 3 new refineries with total capacity of 900,000 barrel per day. That 3 refineries are located in Balongan, Indramayu, and Tuban.
Currently Indonesia has 6 refineries with total capacity of 1.03 million barrel oil per day.
