JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.85% at 4231 Thursday (Dec 19), but closed off its high. While regional market closed mixed.

Investors in IDX collected stocks following gain in Wall Street last night as investors cheered Fed taper. Astra International gained 3.2%, Bank Mandiri jumped 3.25%, Telkom rose 1.2%, and Semen Indonesia hiked 2.59%.

While Bank Rakyat Indonesia declined 0.7%, Sinarmas Multiartha dropped 3.27%, Sarana Menara Nusantara lost 2.8%, and Unilever fell 0.39%.

Nymex’s crude oil inched up 0.04% to US$98.10 per barrel while gold dropped 2.53% to US$1,203.70 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp12,191 against the US Dollar.
