JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped 2.3% to close at 4235 Tuesday (Nov 26) inline with most regional markets.
Blue chip stocks led market’s fall. Bumi Resources plummeted 15.19%, Adaro lost 5.79%, Astra International dropped 3.8%, Alam Sutera fell 3.19%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia shed 3.9%, Bank Negara Indonesia dropped 4%, and Telkom slashed 5.8%.
Construction stocks were also focus of selling; Adhi Karya (-3.55%), Waskita Karya (-3.23%), and Wijaya Karya (-5.8%).
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.46% to US$94.52 per barrel and gold rose 0.9% to US$1,252.5 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp11,765 against the US Dollar.
