JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Plantation company PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) sold 153,000 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) in October 2013, grew by 21% from 126,100 tons in October 2012. Compared to previous month, the figure rose 22%.
While CPO price increased 17% to Rp7,886 per kilogram from Rp6,739 in October 2013. Compared to September 2013, CPO price increased 4.6%.
AALI’s total CPO sales volume from January to October 2013 reached 1.26 million tons, increase 12.4% compared to the same period last year which reached 1.12 million tons.
This volume increase was mainly caused by increased local sales by 13.3%, totalling of 1.24 million tons or 98.6% contribution to AALI’s total CPO sales volume.
On the other hand, CPO sales export volume reached 17,500 tons or declined 27% or contributed 1.4% to AALI’s total CPO sales volume. Meanwhile kernel sales volume increased significantly by 57.9%, reaching 269,101 tons.
