JAYAPURA (Yosefardi) – PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) is building fiber optic Papua Cable System (PCS) with investment cost of Rp832.22 billion, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.

Papua PCS is part of the development of telecommunication infrastructure in eastern part of Indonesia with 2,600 kilometers length.

Telkom, partnered with NEC Corporation, targets to operate its PCS project in November-December 2014.

Telkom targets to build 75 kilometers-long fiber optic network by 2015 as part of Indonesia Digital Network 2015 program (IDN-2015), called as id-Ring.
