JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Andhi Nirwanto, Junior Attorney General for Special Crime Division, has been sworn in Thursday (Nov. 21) as new Deputy Chief of Attorney General replacing Darmono, who entered his mandatory retirement age.
Setia Untung Arimuladi, Spokesperson of the Attorney General Office (AGO), said Widyo Pramono is promoted to replace Andhi at Junior Attorney General for Special Crime Division (Jampidsus). Widyo previously served as Special Staff for Junior Attorney for General Crimes (Jampidum).
Untung also said that Basuni Masyarif, Special Staff for Junior Attorney for Special Crimes, was appointed as new Junior Attorney for General Crimes replacing Mahfud Mannan who was appointed as Junior Attorney for Supervision (Jamwas).
Born in Kudus, West Java, on Jan. 8, 1956, Andhi has served at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crime since 2011. The Junior Attorney General for Special Crime is considered a very fundamental position.
Andhi is actually not clean from various allegations, including an allegation of manipulating investigation of e-KTP graft case and online administration system case (known as Sisminbakum).
There were also rumors saying Andhi was arrested by the Police for allegedly doctoring the official report of a major case back in 1997. Latest, Attorney General Basrief Arief said his office will examine Andhi for allegedly receiving bribe to freeze the investigation of a tax evasion case implicating the platation company Wilmar Group.
Andhi, however, denied all allegations against him. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
