JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Insurance company PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Jasindo) has sold 22.5% shares of PT Asuransi Allianz Utama for Rp100 billion.

While Allianz Utama has not yet found new local partner, replacing Jasindo. State-owned Enterprises (SoE) Minustry demands state companies for not maintaining units or subsidiary that engaged on the similar business.

Jasindo plans to set up a life insurance company, in partnership with PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Tbk (BBTN), targted to be realized next year. Jasindo has allocated Rp100 billion for this joint venture.

This year, the Financial Services Authority’s (OJK) has issued licenses for the operation of 3 new life insurance companies; PT Asuransi Jiwa Indosurya Sukses, PT Asuransi Agrapana Aksata, and PT Central Asia Finansial.
