JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Handoyo Sudrajat has just appointed as chief of Corrections Director General of the Law and Human Rights Ministry, replacing M. Sueb who is facing a health problem since months ago.

Law and Human Rights Minister Amir Syamsuddin said Handoyo’s appointment is based on a Presidential Decree No. 29/M/2013 signed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Nov. 4, 2013.

Handojo will lead major overhauls of problematic penitentiaries across the country as the Law and Human Rights Ministry is aiming to overhaul the country’s correctional system.

Born in Magelang, Central Java, on Apr. 22, 1956, Handoyo currently serves as Deputy of Internal Affairs and Public Reports Division at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He holda these positions since 2008, two years after he joined the Anti-Graft Commission.

Previously, he served as Investigation Deputy at The Finance and Development Comptroller (BPKP). He was graduated from the State Accounting University (STAN). (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
