JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened lower 0.55% at 4461 this morning, following regional markets.

Asian shares slumped to a three-week low on Friday after Wall Street suffered its biggest fall in more than two months, Reuters reported.

In Jakarta bourse, Charoen Pokphand lost 1.94%, Wijaya Karya fell 1.07%, Aneka Tambang dropped 2%, Pakuwon Jati declined 1.69%, MNC Investama shed 1.47%, and Hanson International slided 1.89%.

Among blue chip stocks, Alam Sutera fell 1.75%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia lost 1.87%, Bank Mandiri shed 1.2%, Bumi Serpong Damai dropped 1.95%, Kalbe Farma fell 1.49%, and Telkom down 1.1%.

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.33% to US$94.51 per barrel in Asian trading this morning. Gold inched down 0.05% to US$1,307.80 per ounce.
