JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State coal miner PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) plans to build power plant in Myanmar which cost US$900 million, in partnership with local company.
The power plant will built on 2 phase, first power plant with capacity of 2×100 megawatts and the second 2×200 megawatts.
The company allocates capital expenditure (capex) of US$300-400 million for 2014, equivalent Rp3-4 trillion, funded by internal cash, higher than Rp2.2 trillion this year, to cover cost for expansion to Myanmar and Vietnam.
PTBA sold 13.24 million tons of coal in first 9 months of this year, grew by 17% from 11.36 million tons in the same period of last year.
