JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped 1.73% to close at 4432 Friday (Nov 1), while regional markets closed mixed.
Blue chip stocks led market’s correction. Alam Sutera dropped 4.92%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia lost 3.16%, Bank Negara Indonesia fell 4.69%, Bank Mandiri shed 2.9%, Sentul City dropped 6.98%, Charoen Pokphand slided 5.77%, and Lippo Karawaci declined 3.54%.
Other losers were Adhi Karya (-3.08%), Waskita Karya (-3.33%), Wijaya Karya (-2.6%), Global Mediacom (-2.6%), Multipolar (-3.7%), Pakuwon Jati (-8.06%), and Matahari Putra Prima (-4.17%).
Among gainers inlcuded Visi Media (+2.08%), Adaro Energy (+1.96%), Astra Agro (+5.38%), and BW Plantation (+5.38%).
Nymex’s crude oil inched up 0.05% to US$96.43 per barrel. Gold inched down 0.08% to US$1,322.70 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp11,345 against the US Dollar.
