JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of Indonesia Stock Exchange dropped 1.7% to below 4500 this morning, dragged down by blue chip stocks.
Bell weather Astra International lost 2.2% before midday break, while Bank Mandiri and BCA down 2.3% and 0.93% respectively. Astra’s subsidiary Astra Agro Lestari also lost 4.34%, while United Tractors down 2.2%.
Consumer giants Unilever Indonesia and Telkom lost 2.9% and 3.3% respectively, while Indofood Sukses Makmur dropped 4.32%. Cigarette giant Gudang Garam also lost 1.6% on weak performance.
Lippo Karawaci, a property giant, also lost 5%, while Bumi Serpong Damai down 3.7%.
