JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.7% at 4,578 Monday (Oct 21) inline with gains in regiona markets.

Among blue chip stocks, Aneka Tambang jumped 4.6%, Bank Negara Indonesia gained 2.2%, Bumi Serpong Damai rose 3.23%, Charoen Pokphand hiked 3.12%, Gudang Garam surged 8.27%, Kalbe Farma lifted 3%, London Sumatra climbed 2.7%, and Trada Maritim gained 1.27%.

Other gainers were Media Nusantara Citra (+3.77%), and Garuda Indonesia (+3%). While the losers included Adaro Energy (-4.46%), Bumi Resources Minerals/BRMS (-9.62%), BW Plantation (-2.15%), Indika Energy (-2.35%), Telkom (-1.06%), and Matahari Putra Prima (-2.13%).

Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.46% to US$100.64 per barrel. Gold increased 0.16% to US$1,316.70 per ounce. The rupiah weakened to Rp11,353 against the US Dollar.
