JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – After series of examinations, the anti graft commission KPK detained former Minister of Youth and Sports Andi Alfian Mallarangeng. On Oct. 17, 2013, Andi is brought to KPK detention center as suspect of Hambalang sports center project.
KPK spokeperson Johan Budi stated Andi is detained for 20 days. “I wish I can be revealed. Let the wrong be wrong and the right be right,” said Andi.
Meanwhile, Andi’s brother Rizal Mallarangeng appreaciated KPK’s decision to arrest Andi. However, he insisted that his brother is not guilty and it will be a burden for KPK to prove otherwise. Rizal also said that the lawyer has prepared number of defense arguments for Andi.
Andi Mallarangeng had been named as suspect since December 6, 2012. Another famous suspect in the case is Anas Urbaningrum,
former Chairman of President SBY’s Democratic Party. However, no official information when KPK will summon further Anas. (indrab@yosefardi.biz)
