JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 1.15% at 4543 this morning inline with regional markets, to tracking Wall Street.
U.S. stocks closed more than 1 percent higher on Wednesday after Senate leaders said they had a deal to reopen the federal government and raise the debt ceiling.
Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.12% to US$102.17 per barrel in Asian trading. Gold increased 0.25% to US$1,285.50 per ounce.
In Jakarta bourse, Astra International gained 2%, Bank Negara Indonesia rose 2.2%, Telkom up 1.1%, Kalbe Farma increased 1.54%, London Sumatra climbed 1.38%, and Bumi Serpong Damai gained 1.37%.
IDX decided to halt trading in shares of PT Renuka Coalindo Tbk (SQMI) this morning, after the stock soared 24.73% to Rp1,160 per share Wednesday (Oct 16), gaining 115% in the past one month.
