JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 0.6% at 4492 Wednesday (oct 16), while regional markets closed mixed.
Asia stocks were volatile as US debt deadline nears.
In Jakarta bourse, blue chip stocks led market’s fall. Bank Mandiri fell 1.17%, Bank Central Asia lost 1.4%, Bank Negara Indonesia declined 0.55%, Adaro Energy shed 2%, and Aneka Tambang down 1.32%.
Other losers were Bumi Serpong Damai (-2%), BW Plantation (-1.08%), Vale Indonesia (-0.99%), Lippo Karawaci (-1.96%), Perusahaan Gas Negara (-0.9%), Semen Indonesia (-2.1%), and Telkom (-2.15%).
Among gainers included Pakuwon Jati (+5.77%), MNC Sky Vision (+1.12%), Astra International (+1.45%), and Bank Rakyat Indonesia (+1.24%).
Nymex’s crude oil inched up 0.02% to US$101.23 per barrel. Gold increased 0.4% to US$1,278.40 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp11,316 against the US Dollar.
